Home Care Services

IntroLevels of CareCostGet StartedServices List

We know what it is like to look for care and help for loved ones. This process can be overwhelming and difficult. We are here to assist you in finding the best care and solutions for you and your family. Home care services can be provided in the home, hospital, nursing home, or in an assisted living facility.

The Aegis Difference

We aim to provide the most professional and personalized care available in the Triangle and Sandhills areas. That means access to care within hours of an initial request and call-backs to clients on the same day. That means treating our caregiving staff and our clients like members of our own family: with love, respect and dignity. That means making frequent assessments of plans of care, and keeping family informed when things change. That also means using state-of-the-art technology to aid us in matching clients' care needs and preferences with caregivers' skills and experience.

Creating a Plan of Care

To determine the appropriate level of care required, a full assessment of your specific situation will take place at your home or place of care. Together, we develop a plan of care with you that best meets your needs and ensures your safety and comfort. This plan of care will be revised as needed, and it will be evaluated frequently for any areas needing adjustment or improvement.

Levels of Care

Like most states, North Carolina has specific guidelines that define the levels of home care an agency like Aegis can provide. However, we have attempted to make it easier for you to understand the relative distinctions and cost levels associated with different levels of care. Click here to view our chart showing Levels of Home Care available.

What Will Care Cost?

Costs vary depending on the levels and amounts of care required (for example, we offer special pricing for our longer 24-hour shifts). Because the cost of services is based on an hourly rate, you can increase or decrease your hours of service as you wish - giving you the flexibility to customize your care plan as your needs change. Our services are available from as little as one hour a day up to comprehensive support for 24 hours a day.

Home care is often paid privately, but there are several other payment options that we would be glad to help you explore. For example, long-term care insurance often includes provisions to pay for home care services, and we'd be glad to help you research your policy to see if that's the case. We accept private insurance & worker's compensation insurance and are glad to assist you by helping to prepare claim forms and/or putting together required care notes that may be mandated by your insurance provider. Also, our certification is pending with North Carolina's Medicaid program and with Medicare to be able to serve clients with those forms of coverage.

Let's Get Started.

Give us a call or stop by our office so that we may get started in determining what services you or your loved one might need. Once you are comfortable with what we have to offer, we can then schedule a time to come to your residence to complete a full assessment and develop a plan of care.
